SSC CGL Notification 2024 Apply Online?

  • Please visit the official website at
  • Click on the “Apply” button, followed by the “CGL” option.
  • Provide your Aadhaar Number, Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, and Email ID.
  • Enter the One-Time Password (OTP) received on your mobile number and email ID, then click on ‘Submit’.
  • Your registration number and password will be sent via SMS and email.
  • Complete the sections for personal, contact, and educational details, as well as exam center preference, etc.
  • Choose whether you are applying for the position of Junior Statistical Officer or Statistical Investigator Grade II.
  • Read the declaration, select “I Agree”, fill in the captcha code, and submit the form along with the required fee.

Selection Process:

The selection process for SSC CGL consists of two stages: Tier 1 and Tier 2.

  • In Tier 1, there will be a computer-based examination with objective type questions.
  • For Tier 2, there will also be a computer-based examination with objective-type questions. However, Tier 2 will include conducting Paper-I, Paper-II, and Paper-III in separate shifts or days.
  • Paper-I is compulsory for all the posts, while Paper-II is specifically for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.
  • Paper III is for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer.
  • Paper I will be conducted in two sessions, Session I and Session II, on the same day. Session I will include conducting Section I, Section II, and Module I of Section III.
  • Session II will only include conducting Module II of Section III. Therefore, Session-I will have a duration of 2 hours and 15 minutes, while Session II will only last for 15 minutes.
